WORK IN THE WAIKATO ELIMINATION OF BENDS [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Tuesday Authority to proceed with tho work of eliminating tho dangerous bends and improving tho grades on the Hamil-ton-Morrinsville main highway at Hinton's Gully was by tho Waikato County Council to-day. The Main Highways Board has granted ft subsidy of £3 for £l, and tho work will proceed immediately. It involves the removal of 23,000 cubic yards of material and tho formation of a now road for somo chains, with two easy ten-chain curves. Tho present roadway will be abandoned. The work will cost about £2OOO.
