LADIES' NIGHT
BIRKENHEAD EX-SOLDIERS Lady friends were entertained on Thursday evening at a gathering in the Buffalo Hall by the Birkenhead Ex-Servicemen's Association. The president, Mr. J. Prickett, presided. The programme included a pianoforte overture by Miss Nola Caselli; a one-act play, " House with the Twisty Windows," by the Birkdale Amateur Dramatic Club; Irish pigs by Miss Catherine Sheat and Miss P. Brady; songs by Miss Tui Hall and Mr. Val Mulgan; sketch by Miss Donna Voorhees and Mr. T. Moorcraft; humorous dialogue by Mrs. Halley and Mr. Metcalf; and hornpipes by Miss C. Sheat. The concluding one-act play, "The Family Portrait," was presented by Mrs. Halley as grandma, Miss Donna Voorhees as Emily, Miss Nola Caselli as Ede, Miss Tui Hall as Maria, Mr. Metcalf as father, and Mr. T. Moorcraft as photographer.
