GIRL FLIER'S TOUR
TAURANGA ARRANGEMENTS [by telegbaph OWN correspondent] TAURANGA. Friday Arrangements are being made in connection with Miss Jean Batten's approaching visit to Tauranga on August 19. On her arrival at 3.30 p.m. she will be tendered an official reception, and thereafter she will carry out flights with passengers. The Tauranga Aero and Gliding Club has decided to open a subscription list with the object of making a presentation to Miss Batten. Group-Captain Hewlett stated he had invited Squad-ron-Leader Isitt and Flight-Lieu tenant YYallingford to escort her aeroplane to Tauranga.
