CARNIVAL AT HOKITIKA
y 70TH ANNIVERSARY OF TOWN [by TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION] HOKITIKA,' Friday At a public meeting last evening it was decided to hold an old identities' carnivatl during Christmas week, to celebrate tho seventieth anniversary of tho founding of Hokitika. A strong executive was appointed. It was resolved that a Racing Club meeting be held tho first day, Boxing Day, and the second on the following Saturday. Thursday and Friday are to be devoted to carnival proceedings on an extensive scale.
