CONCERT AT TAKAPUNA

A successful concert, in aid of funds for the cripple" children of the Community Sunshine Association, was held by the Takapuna branch of the association in the local parish hall. A varied programme was presented, including Continental gipsy dances and Irish scenes by the pupils of Miss Beryl Nettleton, Miss Joy Verrnn, M iss Boweu and Miss Gunman. The chairman Mas Mr. G. H. Matthews, headmaster of the Tnkapunn school. Pupils from the Tnknpunn school under Miss Hewlett and Miss Wrigley g«\o items, and several num'bers were contributed by the Belmont school children. At the conclusion of the programme Airs. J. C. Blomficld, president of the branch, thanked the performers for their attendance.
