CREDITMEN'S CLUB

YEAR'S WORK REVIEWED NEW OFFICERS ELECTED The Auckland Creditmen's Club has now completed its fifth year and the annual meeting yesterday was combined with the fortnightly luncheon of the club. Tho president, Mr. J. A. C Allum. presided. The annual report, presented by the honorary secretary, Mr H. W. Dent, stated that the year had again been one of stress aind strain commercially. The club had suffered slightly in attendances of members, although the membership had' risen from 117 to 126. The highest attendance at any one meeting was 144, and the lowest 48. A pleasing feature of the year's work had been the formation of the New Zealand Institute of Creditmen, a body which should increase in influence and importance. Another event of importance was the establishment - of the Hamilton Creditmen's Club with a membership of approximately 100. The annual report of the treasurer showed "that the year had begun with a credit balance of £64 and ended with a credit of £69.

Crawford Young; executive, Messrs. J. E. Beachen, R. Blayney, G. S. Connor, O. C. Haynes, A. L. Mc-Keown, J. O. Robertson; chairmen of committees: membership, Mr. J. E. Connor; reception, Mr. A. G. Wilson; programme, Mr. W. H. Cocker; institute and library, Mr. F. G Baskett; musical director, Mr. F. M. Hills.
