DAMAGES FOR INJURY
MAN KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR JURY AWARDS SUM OF £BOO [BY TELEGRAPH —rRESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, Wednesday Evidence was concluded in the Supreme Court to-day in a case arising out of an accident to a pedestrian in August of last year. Percy Mitchell, watchmaker, who was knocked down by a motor-car, claimed £1172 14s damage's from Albert William Burton, waterside worker. The jury returned a verdict for plaintiff for £822 14s and Mr. Justice Ostler entered judgment accordingly with costs, witness' expenses and disbursements.
