RUAKURA STATE FARM

NEW MILKING SHED [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday Work is nearing completion on the construction or a second milking shed on the Ruakura State Farm. An area of 135 acres at Silverdale, at tho eastern end of Ruakura, has been set aside and will be operated as an independent farm. Seventy cows will be grazed on the block. The cows at Ruakura will be divided into two herds of 70 each and the erection of tho new shed will relieve the congestion at tho old building. It is proposed to carry out extensive pig feeding trials on tho Silverdale block, with the object of raising suitable pork for the English market.
