BAYSWATER IMPROVEMENT

As an expression of appreciation of the excellent work done throughout the Bayswater district by Mr. L. S. Davis, a drinking fountain, to bo known as the Davis fountain, has been erected at the park at Bayswater, and it was officially opened by the Mayor of Takapuna, Mr. J. Guiniven, on Saturday afternoon. Mr. Guiniven said that the fountain had been built by subscriptions from residents of Bavswater, who appreciated Mr.- Davis' wo~rk as an active member of the Beautifying Society. Mr. A. Harris, M.P., said the improvements were a credit to the borough, and he commended Mr. Davis upon his interest in the district.
