MOCK AIR ATTACKS

LONDON MANOEUVRES WEEK OF NIGHT BOMBING LONDON, July 20 Kaoh night next week between 0 p.m. and 9 a.m. London will he subjected to intense mock air attacks to test the efficiency of the defences. Four hundred aeroplanes, including some of the world's fastest and most powerful, as well as heavy night-bombers, will ho engaged. The attackers' objective will be 'o pierce a ring of searchlights and antiaircraft batteries, firing dummy shells, to try to bomb the Air Ministry. Londoners are asked cheerfully to accept loss of sleep as a contribution toward preventing a recurrence of the horrors experienced between 1914 and 1918.
