JAPANESE POLICY
AIDING WORLD PEACE PROMOTION OF FRIENDSHIP TOKIO, July 20 The Prime Minister of Japan, Admiral Oknda, has issued a statement outlining his Cabinet's policy, including a contribution to the world's peace and the welfare and promotion of friendship with other countries while fulfilling the Empire's mission. .It is proposed to enhance the national defences, in view of the current situation, and at the Naval Conference to try to realise Japan's claims by fair and adequate means.
The amity between Japan and Manchukuo is stated to be an epochal factor in strengthening peace in East Asia, for which Japan would co-operate toward the new Empire's prosperity. An endeavour will be made to balance the Budget, promote industry and commerce, afford rural relief and purify politics.
