ELLERSLIE TRAINING

USEFUL WORK ACCOMPLISHED V, JALLDY KARO. AND SOLOMON KILTOWYN'S HALF-MILE 1 lie tracks at Ellerslie were very ea , A y. J ester dny after overnight rain, anc little fast work was accomplished. Hordes with engagements at the Franklin Racing Club's meeting at Pukekohe on Saturday were allowed.the use of the No. 3 grass, and were allotted useful tasks. On the grass My Money and Barograph went six furlongs at about 15s to the furlong. My Monev is to have his first race for some time at Pukekohe. Jalldy Karo was slightly in front of Solomon at the end of six furlongs in 1.22 1-5. Jalldy Karo has not shown any form for some time, but he is looking well and may make an improved showing at Pukekohe. Solomon is also in good heart, and a reproduction of the form he displayed among the open sprinters at the winter meeting at Ellerslie should make him difficult to beat in the hack class at Pukekohe.

Kiltowyn reeled off half a mile in 54 3-ss. Ile> has made very satisfactory progress since resuming work, and is muscling up nicely. He should bo fairly well forward when the spring meetings are at hand.

Golden Wedding, Grant's ( Opal and Town Beauty were allotted strong work, and Desert Star accomplished a eierviceable task on the sand.
