ANNIVERSARY BALL
ORDER OF FORESTERS Forty years ago the executive council of the Order in England, granted dispensation to Court Maid Marian, ladies' section, of the Ancient Order of Foresters in Auckland, and in celebration, an anniversary ball was held in the Orange Hall, Newton Road, on Wednesday evfening. Sister 0. Piatt, the chief ranger, wearing a dress of white georgette and silver lame, was in charge of proceedings, being supported bv a committee comprising the secretary, Sister L. S. Garratt in garnet red pebble crepe; assistant-secretary, Sister A. Gamble, in cobalt blue souple satin; Sister Gubb, black fiat crepe; Sister Spalding, chatreuse green crepe marocain; Sister Rhodes, black georgette and silver trimming; J.W., Sister Tetley, shell pink crepe satin; 5.8., Sister Hoy, sapphire blue soft satin; J.B. Sister E. Gubb, daffodil georgette. The district chief ranger, Brother P. Jamieson, attended the function, together with Mrs. Jamieson, who wore a gown of white windswept satin. Among those present were P.C.R.'s Sister Baker, who wore black georgette with pearl trimming; Sister Cathey, palest pink moire taireta; Sister Haining, apricot souple satin and lace; Sisto.r Milligan, deep ivory angelskin; Sister Fairhead, moss green cire satin; Sister Pretious, old gold satin beaute; Sister Rush, navy blue silk marncain; Sister Mead, lettuce green ripple crepe; Sister Harvey, white taffeta; Sister Benfell, figured ninon; Sister Gunter, white suede satin; Sister Appleton, geum georgette silver lace; Sister Hoe, Betty blue souple satin; Sister Clark, blue cire satin; Sister McAdam, vieux rose crepe de chine; Sister Smith, cream suede crepe; Sister Cunningham, willow green crepe de chine; Sister Peterson, sage green shot taffeta; Sister Trollope, black ring velvet; Sister Bunce, peach ripple crepe; Sister Bourdot, orchid crinkle crepe; Sister Ball, _ tango cire satin; Sister Y. Hoy, white taffeta; Sister A. Kelsell, larkspur blue taffeta; Sister Knott, peach satin beaute; Sister Rawlins, jet cire satin; Sister F.
