SEEKING INFORMATION "'I ho Education Institute has been asking for a good deal of information lntelv; it moans extra work for our staff and I ill in k we should ask the institute to moderate its demands," said the chairman of (lie Auckland Education Board, Mr. T. li. Wells, at a meeting of the hoard yesterday. A letter was received from the institute seeking statistical information concerning teachers employed under the rationing scheme. "The information will only ho used as ammunition to bombard the Minister of Education," remarked Mr. J. Patterson.

"The institute could get the information elsewhere, but the board is the easiest source," said the Hon. A. Burns. M.L.G.

It was decided to provide the information and to point out to the institute the board's feeling in the matter.
