INTEREST AT PUKEKOHE fFROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] PTJKEKOBE, Wednesday The election of three new members at the first annual meeting of the Pukckoho Horticultural Society last evening brought tho roll number to 00. In reviewing the operations of the society since its inception 10 months ago, the president, Mr. E. Allan, mentioned that the flower evenings had proved cducativo and enjoyable. The society's first annual show would have done credit to any society or any district.
The financial statement showed receipts totalling £47 and payments amounting to £36. Officers elected were:—President, Mr. Allan; vice-presidents, Mesdames T. B. Graham and 1. Watson and Messrs. V. Morris, J. Patterson, J. Roulston and J. Reynolds; secretary, Miss L. J. Bayly; committee, Misses N. K. Brown and A. Potter, Mesdames J. M. Bowman and S. P. Day, and Messrs. 10. Hosking, P. Field, and J. M. Bowman; auditor, Mr. A. V. Fox.
