Jamieson, were both successful' at the Rosehill races yesterday. Forestry, won the Rosehill Handicap and Upoko Ariki the Trial Stakes. 'i he stable hoped for an even more successful day, Sipal being unluckily defeated in the Juvenile Handicap, running third, while Hich Degree just missed a place in the High-weight Handicap. STEWARDS' INQUIRIES APPRENTICE SUSPENDED The judicial committee of • tho To Kuiti Racing Club was called together on several occasions 011 Saturday to consider incidents in connection with the racing at Te Rapa. An inquiry was held regarding some interference with Silver Bii.ir and Anagram by Record Flight in the second division of the Maiden Handicap. After hearing the eviderce of several riders, the committee decided to taka no action. Suspension, for a fortnight was imposed ■upon the apprautice jockey. O. Reed, who rode Ballymoney in the Otorohanga Hack 'Handicap, for carelessly riding his mount and interfering with Alpinus at the start of the race. SPEEDMINT GOES AMISS NOT TO RACE AGAIN Spcdmint pulled up lame after contesting the President's Handicap at Te Rapa on Saturday. Her trainer, P. E. Pope, stated subsequently that the racecourso had seen the last of Specdmint, who had had a joint, on which she went wrong in the race. In any case, it had not been intended to raco her after this season and she is to bo mated with the imported sire Beau Perc, half-brother to Gay Shield.
