Miss Hermiona Anderson,'Sir Alan will arrive in Australia in October, and after attending the Melbourne Centenary celebrations will come to New Zealand. Mr. James Fletcher, managing, director of the Fletcher Construction' Company, Limited, returned from Dunedin on Saturday mornine. He was accompanied by Mr. E. H. Rhodes, a' director of the company, who has been visiting the quarries at Bluff and inspecting the steel construction work at tho new post office at Duiiedin. Mr. H. P. Chinchen, of the London' head office of the National Bank nf New Zealand, and formerly of Auckland, has been appointed the representative of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce on the Council of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce of, the British Empire. He will occupy the post formerly held by Mr. A. Rowlands, who, owing to continued absences from London, has tendered his. resignation.
