IDENTIFICATION OF VICTIM MAN KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR The pedestrian who received fatal injuries when he was knocked down by a motor-car in Beach Bo ad 011 Friday afternoon has been identified as Mr. Benjamin James Scott, a labourer, aged about 55 years.

At an inquest opened before Mr. F. "K. Hunt, S.M., coroner, on Saturday evidence of identification was given by an official of the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association. Witness said deceased was an ex-serviceman wbo had been a regular caller at the association's office during the past 18 months. He was born in N<?\v Zealand. The inquest was adjourned sine die.
