OFFENDERS PUNISHED 1 ' • I EIGHT - OFFICERS DEGRADED = BUCHAREST, April 22 The Rumanian War Council has sentenced Colonel Precup, a, one-time friend of Carol, and seven other N officers, also five civil. servants, to 10 years' seclusion on a charge of conspiracy against the King. The officers will be degraded from the Army. The plot was one to blow up a cathedral while the Bang was within, to seize Bucharest, the capital, and to make Colonel Precup military dictator, with either Prince Nicholas or King Carol's son, Michael, on the throne.
