AUSTRIAN THRONE
RESTORATION SUGGESTED HAPSBURG FAMILY COUNCIL LONDON. April 22 The Brussels correspondent of the People says an important family coun- * cil of Hapsburgs is assembling at the ex-Empress Zita's castle iri Louvain, Belgium. Fran<se and Italy, it is understood, favour the return of the Hapsburgs if Austria invites them. It is expected that the Austrian and Hungarian Governments will submit to the family council a statement of the conditions on which they are willing to Recommend the restoration of the monarchy. Archduke Otfco declares: "If the Governments of Austria and Hungary call me, I owe it to my House to accept, but I will not consider returning at the head of a faction and thus causing civil war."
WAR ON SOCIALISTS *
WOMAN SENT TO GAOL PITIABLE CONDITION LONDON, April 22 The Vienna correspondent of the Daily Herald states that the Widow of the Socialist leader, Wallisch, has been sentenced to a year's imprisonment for giving food to Socialists during the fighting in the capital. Frau Wallisch, owing to the troubles through which she has passed, is now a physical wreck. Both her legs are paralysed and she wa* carried into the courtroom.
