PENWOMEN'S LEAGUE

The annual general meeting of the League of Pen women was held yesterday in the league rooms, Mrs. Carr Rollett presiding over a large attendance of members. The reports of the various sections were adopted and were as follows: —Literature study, convener, Mrs. J. Innos; journalism, convener, Miss Violet Spurling; arts and crafts, convenor Mrs. Tonkin, and the garden makers. All these sections showed a record of comprehensive and steady progress. Appreciative reference was made to the work of the president, Mrs. Carr Rollett, and of the honorary secretary and treasurer, Mrs. Sydney Smith. Mrs. Carr Rollett in her address referred to the able and diligent assistance she had received from the members of the executive committee. The business of the meeting being concluded Mrs. Richards sang "Songs My Mother Taught Me."
