FEEDING TRIALS
AUSTRALIAN EXPERIMENTS During a recent address Mr. If. B. Barrow, chief dairy instructor in South Australia, referred to experiments in feeding now being conducted at Koseworthy College. He slated that six separate tests were in progress, and lho results so far were remarkable. There were six pigs in each test, consisting of tho following breeds. —Ono Berkshire, two Large White-Bcrksbiro cross, one Tamworth-Berkshiro cross and ono Largo White-Tamwort h-Borkshire cross. One pen was fed on barley; one on barley and meat meal; one oil barley, skimmed milk and lucerne; ono on wheat; one on wheat and meat meal; and ono on wheat, skimmed milk and lucerne. The pigs were given as much as they could cat, and at tho end of 28 days the increase in weight a pen was: Those fed on barley fl.'tlb; those fed on barley and meat meal, 1-ISlb. ; on barley, skimmed milk and lucerne. 2221b.; on wheat, 1131b.; on wheat and meat meal, 115 71 b.; and on wheat, skimmed milk and lucerne, 2211b,
