March 2f, The Ice-hrcftker Lipka, which was on its way' to attempt to rescue the suri ivor 9 from the sunken Ice-breaker Cheliusfcin, sent otlfc 8,0.8. signals today when some distance from Vladivostok. ~ She reported that she had collided with a-submerged iceberg and was leaking dangerously, while her engines had been so badly damaged that she was drifting helplessly. Efiorts will be made to go to her sid with another icebreaker.
