NO AUSTRALIAN GUARANTEE LONDON. March '->5 Tom Newman informed the News of the World that as there was no guarantee from Australia even covering expenses .Joe Davis was not likely to compete for the world's championship against Walter Lindrum. It was a pity, if true, said Newman, but business was business. If those on the spot were not prepared to give ii guarantee, Davis was entitled to refuse the risk ol' heavy costs lor fares and hotels.
