DAMAGE TO AEROPLANE

landing at tauranga One of the Moth aeroplanes belonging to the Auckland Aero Club was damaged while making a landing at the Mount beach, Tauranga, yesterday morning. The machine was piloted by Mr. E. B. Firth and had been flown with two other of the club's aeroplanes, leaving the Mangere aerodrome at 10.30.° The machine landed heavily on one wheel, slightly damaging the undercarriage. As repairs could not be carried out at Tauranga the aeroplane wiij be sent to Auckland by rail to-day.
