"A COUNTRY GIRL"
Large and enthusiastic nurlirnrrs arc being attracted tn (hp popular musical play "A Country Girl," which is being presented at His Majesty's 'theatre by the J. 0. Williamson New Comic Opera Company. Miss Romola Hansen, whoso previous appearances made her a favourite with Auckland play-goers, sings delightfully as Mnrjorie, the country girl returned from the London stage, and she is well supported by Mr. Herbert Browne as Geoffrey. Don Nieol has 1110 principal comedy role, and in the second aet brings the dialogue up-to-date with some very topical allusions. Other popular artists in the company are Mona Zeppel, Eric Bush, Phil. Smith and Marie La Varro. The work of the chorus, ballet and orchestra, is excellent. "A Country Girl" will be presented each evening until J ( ridnv, and will be succeeded on Saturday by "Kntinka." "The Chocolate Soldier" and "The Merry Widow" also will be presented during the season.
