INSUFFICIENT EVIDENCE

ALLEGATION OF TRESPASS Charged with being found without lawful excuse on the enclosed premises of Esther Copestnko at 62 Great North Road on March 31, but in circumstances which did not disclose intention to commit any other offence, a fireman, Norman Copcstake, aged 42 (Mr. Sullivan), appeared in the Police Court yesterday before Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M. Accused pleaded not guilty. In evidence, Esther Copcstake said she was separated from accused, who was her husband. He had paid two visits to her premises on Saturday with the intention of taking away property he considered belonged to him and after being warned by the police during his first visit in the afternoon he had returned in the evening. After hearing police evidence Mr. Wilson dismissed the case, remarking that the evidence was insufficient.
