Two of the hitter's priests were killed and mosques were wrecked. Order has been restored. There was also fierce rioting between Hindus and Moslems at Cannanore, South India, which resulted in the rleath of a Christian onlooker and injuries to several policemen, who were attempting to separate the combatants.
