JAPAN AND BRITAIN
TEXTILE NEGOTIATIONS DOOR NOT YET CLOSED TOKIO, March 30 A Foreign Office spokesm;in stated to-day that tho Japanese Ambassador to Britain, Mr. Matsudaira, had been instructed to inform tho British Government that Japan is willing to have a Governmental conference) oil textiles, but as Britain originally proposed the discussions Japan hopes she will offer some concrete plan. A message from London says the Japanese cotton delegation is coming home. Mr. Okada, the leader, stated that although it was not possible to find a common basis, thoir labours had not been in vain. They had laid a foundation on which a structure might he built eventually.
