GERMAN CHILDREN
YEAR IN THE COUNTRY PLAN FOR TOWN SCHOLARS (Received March 30. 5.5 p.m.) BERLIN. March 20 A new law provides for 25,000 town children in Prussia leaving school to spend a year in the country before starting to earn a livelihood. They will be lodged in special homes and will engage in agricultural pursuits. The objects are to relieve the labour market and produce a healthy race.
