ACTIVITIES DEFERRED [I'ROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT] TE AROHA. Thursday The annual meeting of tho Te Aroha Coursing Club was presided over by Mr. J. A. Hepburn. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £3O 12s fid. The chftiiman stated that on the year's operations a loss of £4 10s 2d had been made, but the assets of tho club, including a, £lO 10s cup, were noted at nearly £IOO, in addition to ihe amount in the bank. Owing to economic reasons., he considered it advisable for the club to defer operations for a brief period, as it probably would be difficult to obtain sufficient support to ensure really successful fixtures. A resolution that the club hold over mectingr, in the meantime, and that the credit balance be placed on fixed deposit for three months, wan. carried. It was left to the president and secretary to. call the members together when, they considered the time had arrived for a continuance of aetivities-.
