MOVE BY AMERICA ENVOYS TO VISIT EUROPE (Received March 6, 5.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON. March 5 The State Department has appointed Mr. Richard Washburn Child, wellknown author and diplomat, special adviser to the Secretary of State, Mr. Cordell Hull, in his capacity as chairman of the American delegation to the moribund Word Economic Conference. They are to visit Europe and study economic conditions, particularly from the standpoint of the resolutions pending or adopted by the conference.

Officials declined to say whether they believe or even hope that the mission will lead to the reconvening of the conference.
