March 5 The High Commissioner for New Zealand, Sir James Parr, and all the Australian Agents-General supported a deputation from the Empire Art Loans Collection Society, including Lord Conway, which urged the Prime Minister, Mr. Macßonalci, to repromote legislation to enable works of art in the national and museums to be loaned to Eimpfre countries. Mr. Malcolm Mac Donald, UnderSecretary for' the Dominions, introduced the deputation, which his father sympathetically received. Mr. C. R. Chisman, joint organising director of the society, is to sail by the Rangitata on Thursday with a collection which is to be exhibited in Auckland and Dunedin and the Australian capitals.
