VARIETY OF ACCIDENTS
CASES IN HOSPITAL [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday Four accident cases were admitted to the Waikato Hospital to-day. A farm hand, Mr. Selwyn Frederick Rogers, of Whittaker Street, Te Aroha, received a fracture of the leg. As a result of a horse attached to a sledge he was driving turning roupcl suddenly, Mr. Rogers was struck a violent blow by the sledge. A dislocation of the shoulder was received by Mr. John Isaac Smith, aged 32, a dairyman, an employee of the Ruakura SW-e Farm. He was riding a bicycle and came into collision with another cyclist on the corner of the Ruakura Road. While using a pick on a road at Te Aroha to-day, a Maori, Mr. Thomas Mikarera, aged 28, of Te Aroha, was struck in the eye by a piece of flying metal. It is not considered that he will lose the sight of the eye. As the result of falling from a horse, a schoolboy, Joseph Leon Buisson, aged 10 years, of Koramatua, was admitted suffering from a fractured arm. Painful lacerations to the forearm were received yesterday by Frederick Holden, aged 18 years, when in the course of his work" he came in contact with a moving band-saw.
