PASSING SOBRIETY TEST
Although Thomas Benson stood erect with-both eyes closed; stood on one leg; stood on tiptoes and touched his toes with his hands; wrote his name and address , without hesitation, and gave a coherent account of his movements, he was fined £5 at Hanley, Staffordshire, recently, for driving a car under the influence of drink, and £5 more for driving dangerously. The police doctor stated that Benson performed the tests " by strong, conscious effort*,"-
