INSTITUTE ACTIVITIES
AUCKLAND FEDERATION Reports of institutes of the Auckland Federation are as follows: Waima.-—Mrs. Tauroa, who is leaving for Kawhia, was faro welled recently. Musical and elocutionary items were rendered and 'a humorous sketch " The Domestic Entanglement," was performed. On behalf of the members, Mrs. Johnston, president, presented Mrs. Tauroa with a well-bound Bible with gilt monogram. Whangaroi.—Mrs. Fyfe presented a shower cloth in aid of institute funds. The roll call, " My Most Embarrassing Moment," disclosed some amusing episodes.
"Whatoro. —At a recent party visitors from Aranga were entertained. Competitions were for a thrift article and bunch of flowers. Mrs. Bedggood presented members and visitors with sprigs of holly.
Whenuapai.—Competitions were for a vaso of flowers and something new from something old. Mrs. Clinders Gribbler demonstrated wool embroidery. The sum of £3 7s lid was forwarded to the Blind Institute for the sale of baskets. A library has been started.
