RAROTONGAN VISITORS
Tho pleasant grounds of Ngatipa, Lower Hutt, the home of Mr. Justice Ayson, C.M.G., and Mrs. Ayson, were the scene of a delightful party this week, when the visiting Rarotongan arikis and their families and party were happily entertained. The lawn, which is shaded with native and other trees, looked charming in the afternoon sunshine, with chairs and garden seats arranged around, and the guests made a very picturesque group. Afternoon tea and delicious refreshments were served, and all the guests had an opportunity of meeting the pleasant and courteous visitors and enjoying a chat with them. Ukulele music, so soft and haunting, attracted a number of listeners, and presently the party resolved itself into r dance, when some of the visitors gave what they term the "Europeena" dance, which charmed all. After a very pleasant time the guests from Rarotonga gathered together and sang a farewell to their entertainers, expressive of their gratitude for the pleasure given. It was altogether a unique party, giving immense pleasure to all present. Yesterday they were the guests of Lady Pomare.
