HERALD'S BIRTHDAY
LARGE SPECIAL EDITION COPIES FOR POSTING With this issue of the New Zealand Herald is distributed free a 68-page special supplement in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the Herald, which occurs to-day. Besides being a souvenir of an interesting occasion, the number is of great historic value, for in its pages are incorporated articles and illustrations recalling the stirring days of Auckland's youth, its rise in the period so far spanned in the life of the Herald, and pictures of the city and province of to-day. While the supplement will be, therefore, of special interest to residents of Auckland, it will have a wide appeal among friends in other parts of the Dominion and overseas.
The postage on the complete issue of to-day's Herald will be twopence a copy within New Zealand and other parts of the British Empire, by direct steamers to England. The supplement may be posted separately as a newspaper at a fee of one penny.
