ATTACKED BY BULL

MAN ON HORSEBACK SEVERE INJURY TO LEG [by telegraph—OWN correspondent] OPOTIKI. Saturday A single man, Mr. Keith Forbes, a sharemilker for Mr. R. Walker, of Tablelands, Opotiki, was admitted to tho Opotiki Hospital to-day with severe injury to the leg as the result of being gored by a Jersey bull. Mr. Forbes was engaged on horseback in driving cows to a paddock after milking when the bull attacked him, upsetting both rider and horse. Mr. Forbes' left leg was severely lacerated by ono of tho animal's horns. The horse was so severely injured that it had to be destroyed. Medical aid was summoned and Mr. Forbes was removed to hospital. His condition is not serious. The bull had always been considered to bo quite safe.
