THE'AUCKLAND EXCHANGE QUIET SATURDAY MORNING Quiet conditions existed 011 tho Auckland Stock Exchange on Saturday, and very litll o investment business was completed. Holders of Government loans were not active, while buyers continued their inquiry at steady to slightly easier rates. Very little change occurred in banks. Now South ales eased after sale unaltered at £3l, but other issues held fairly steadily. Now Zealands were jv.-nu r, and offers 2d higher at 48s 2d received a selling quotation Id Mronger at 18s Id. Insurances were btendv. No marked movements wore registered in oilier sections of tho market. Following a weakening in oilers to 40s 3d, support- for Australian Glass recovered. but inquiry at 47s Oil failed to attract sellers. Another lorward movement took place in Mount Lyolls, which wore dealt in -Id higher at 23s 9d. More were available* at that price. Waihi J mictions wero secured a. shade cheaper than tho previous day at 4s 3 ?.d. Business was done in Gillespie's lieach, rights, at 10(1, and subsequent inquiry was firmer at lid.
