SYDNEY WOOL SALES GENERAL IMPROVEMENT PAST WEEK REVIEWED The weekly wool letter in the Sydney Morning Herald says the demand again strengthened at this wqek's Sydney sales. Tho values of Merino wools generally improved 5 per cent, and comebacks and crossbreds 7J per cent. The market now is on tho highest levels in Australian currency since March, 1929. Tho wools which were exceedingly cheap 12 months ago display the greatest appreciation. Choicest tleeco wools, although realising excellent prices, do not show such a marked advance on last year's rates. English niillmeu aro buying in outstanding volume, their activity and optimism being confirmed by the buoyancy in the British top and yarn markets. Japan, in spite of fears to the contrary, is continuing to buy with great freedom in Sydney as elsewhere, i Greasy locks are worth nearly double the values ruling in November, 1932, while there arc numerous instances where bellies are making relatively high prices compared with llccce of tho same clips.
