RUGBY LEAGUE TEST

KANGAROOS AGAIN BEATEN MARGIN OF TWO POINTS (Received November 3'2, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON. Nov. 11 The second Rugby League test between, England and the Kangaroos, played at Leeds to-day, was won by England by seven points to five. The Kangaroos led at half-time, 5—2. Weather conditions were crisp and like spring but the ground was heavy after rain. There was a record attendance of 30,000, and the gate receipts totalled £3973. The game opened sensationally, Sullivan giving England the lead with a penalty goal within two minutes. From a similar off-sido infringement Brown failed to equalise. England's forwards were more successful in the scrums, and the backs carried out several fine passing bouts, penning the Kangaroos in their own half. Brown stopped several dangerous movements. He, however, was unlucky and missed many chances from kicks which ho would certainly have goaled on his day. Sullivan's defence largely assisted England. It was tho first time England hud won two successive tests. The game was particularly hard, with little difference between the teams.
