LAND SETTLEMENT
WAIKATO SOCIETY SCHEME EARLY START TO BE MADE [from Ot~R OWN correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday Keen interest in the Waikato Land Settlement Society's scheme has been shown by the unemployed men in the Auckland district, and a large number of applications have been received from those desiring work on the society's blocks of land at l\oto-o-rangi and Te Kowhai. The applications close on Saturday, and when these have been considered by the directors and a selection has been made, work will be commenced.
