WRONG METER READINGS
CITY COUNCIL EMPLOYEE IMPRISONMENT FOR THEFT [nr tkljEgjiaph—rnnss association] CIIRISTCHURCH, Friday An employee of the municipal electricity department, Thomas James Gordon, aged 32, married, admitted before Mr. E. D. Mosley, S.M., to-da.v tho theft of £37 between April and October, 1933, through tho manipulation of meter accounts. Ho was sentenced to a month's imprisonment. The police stated that accused was guilty of incorrect reading of meters in 110 cases. Restitution had been made.
