HOWICK AFFAIRS

A mooting of tho Howick Town Board Was hold on Thursday evening, the chairman, Mr. A. Cherry, presiding. Tar-scaling of tho intersections adjoining the main concreto highway at Church Street, Bleakhouso Boad and Botany Boad was authorised. It was decided to improve tho approaches to the beach from Island View Terrace and Willow Glon. Tho foreman reported that 60yds. of surfaco metal had been spread in Uxbridge Koad and that improvements in tho drainage system at the Mollon's Bay reserve had been completed. Owing to continued complaints being received regarding tho unsatisfactory condition of Marine Parado, the Parks Committee was requested to furnish a report at tho next meeting.
