QUEEN HEARS GHOST STORY
The Queen, who was staying at Harowood House recently as the s*uest of the Princess I {oval and the Earl of Ha wood, visited Teinplcnewsani Mansion, Leeds, the property of Leeds Corporation, ami showed great interest in the ghost story connected with the mansion.
When shown Lord Dnrnley's room and the blue damask room, the two chambers associated with the ghost story which figured in a recent official hunt for the phantom, the Queen asked for particulars of the expedition from Mr. Donald Kaberry,_ chairman of the Templenewsain Committee of the Leeds City Council. The Queen made an extensive tour ot the mansion, and the housekeeper and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Pawson, were presented to her. She showed considerable interest in the old tupestiics, ceilings and pictures.
