J President Roosevelt to-day receiver! tho British .Ambassador, Sir Ronald Lindsay, and the chief economic adviser of the British Government, Sir Frederick Leith-Ross. Before the conference Mr. Roosevelt indicated that lie was not aware of tho particulars of the war debt status, lie said he was ready to hear what tho British Government had to ofler. Later, an announcement from White House said it was decided at the conference to continue the discussion of the proposals for debt revision.
