MEN DEFEAT LADIES CONTEST AT MIDDLEMORE The annual match between teams representing the .Auckland and Auckland Ladies' Golf Clubs was played at Middlcmore yesterday. the men winning by four games to three, one being all square. McCrackcn winning the senior division with a score of 91, 18—73. In the junior division Mrs. A. E. Thomas won with a, score of 100, 30—70, while Mrs. Gordon Brown and Mrs. W. Peterson had net scores of 77. In the afternoon, a driving competition was won by Mrs. F. Mander with a drive of 172 yards 2i ft.. and the approaching and putting competitions were won by Mrs, C. L. In his report the president stated tho past season had been the most successful in the history of the club, as was shown by the larger membership, greater enthusiam and the nwirked advance in the standard of play. flie following officers were elected:— President.
