CONTEST FOR BARRETT CUP Tho Irst intor-olub racing of the season will lake place to-morrow afternoon, when the Barrett Cup contest will be decided. Knell club will conduct its. owij trials for club trophies, and the winners of the respective club finals will meet in the event for the Barret Cup, which will be controlled bv the present holders, the Waitemafa Boating Club. The course, will be tho waterfront road one, from the Nr>. 2 bridge, to a point opposite the eastern tide deflector, a distance of approximately one mile. Crows will be drawn at tho Waitematn. Bonthonso at 1.-15 p.m. sharp. Kncing is scheduled to conuiipnce at '2 p.m., while tho final in timed to start at -1,30 p.m. Tho following officials will control the final, and will also bo available for Cm rlub trials if required:—St.arler. Mr. T. Marshall; indue, Mr. C. C. Cairns: umpire. Mr. E. 11. Buckler. Tho rules of the contest provide that not more than one senior onrsmnn be a member of one crew, while tho races are to be rowed in clinker practice fours.
