FARM LAND VALUATIONS The Otahuhu Borough Council decided last evening to oppose application for reductions in valuations, which are to be heard under the Urban Farm Lands Piating Act at a sitting of the Assessment Court on November 14. The town clerk. Mi - . R. W. F. Wood, said the total valuation of the lands under the review of the Court was noproxiinately £20,000. A suggestion was received bv the council for improvements at the Monument triangle. The writer said the council should consider purchasing a portion of land at the base of the triangle with a view to beautifying the locality and providing a traihe outlet. He suggested that finance might be obtained through an art union. The matter was referred to the Finance Committee for a report. I
